This has been one of the fastest years of all that I've lived through ever since I was born. At the begining of it, like it's always the norm around, we all had new year resolutions, plans, goals, objectives and many other things in mind for this year. We all started on a high note, felt like we owned this world and that nothing would hold you back from achieving what you set your eyes on. Sadly this exuberant mood did not last for long. Gradually some of us realised that their resolutions were unrealistic, others made them just because everyone else was doing that, others started off well but somewhere along the way they hit a huge rock and that was the end of it, some simply never dreamt at all and watched as others did their things and ofcos there were those who were so much blessed that everything seemed to be flowing in the right direction. Bearing in mind that we all belong to the same God, you may be tempted to ask why that other person and not you??? Okay I am not about to preach but that is a topic we must talk about and understand with clarity someday.
We've all fallen into one of the above categories, well I cannot rule out the fact that their are those who may have ventured into the up known where their was no path at all and created their own. I just didn't know how to describe that category but it's my hope and prayer that you had a great year, the best you could ever have. Mine has had a mix of everything. Ups and downs, Good and bad moments, happy and sad times, name them all but thank God atleast they all joined efforts to make LIFE as interesting as it was supposed to be. If asked to change anything, I think I would re-live it all apart from one sad moment we all didn't like at all. If it was up to us, then our dear cousin would have lived to eternity. Sadly though, there was nothing we could have done other than leaving it all to God who did as he willed at the time, but I trust that our cousin's soul rested in peace at home and that one day we will get to meet again up there.
Christmas day is tomorrow, only a few hours from now and new years is fast approaching. I bet we are all eagerly waiting for the big day to see how it unfolds and whats in store for us. Some of us may not already be in the festive mood because their minds are fully occcupied with thoughts racing up and down their minds like fire eating up dry grass. Thoughts of what could have been, what didn't happen as you wished it to happen, missed opportunities e.t. c. We all have issues but no one ever lost their eye sight for looking at the brighter side of things. This is that time of the year when we should set everything else aside for a while and embrace the spirit of PEACE, LOVE and UNITY. It's that time when all the complaining that you are used to should be left behind or atleast paused for a while because a complaining attitude will only blind you to the blessings you have had althrough and make you miss your blessings as a PERSON, FAMILY, and a COUNTRY as
Whole. #KENYA. This is that time to appreciate the great people of significance in our lives, to be around those who inspire and motivate us to reach our dreams even if the whole wide world turns its back on us. #FAMILY. And to share the little that God has blessed us with. Pardon me for making you read all these but I believe that just like me, you have learnt something new about Christmas. At some point I also thought I knew a lot almost everything until I started reading a little bit more and learnt a little.
Finally without taking a second more of your precious time, I wish you all who spared sometime out of their busy lives to read this, a MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR. It's my wish that we will all look for ways to share LIFE and GODS LOVE this Christmas and every day of the new year #2016. Cheers!!!!
